• Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

• Shift: Nights (1900-0700), (12-hour shifts| 3 shifts/week)
• Schedule: Variable weekend rotation, on-call as needed
• Floating: Yes, as required by the unit or per census
• Duration: 13 Weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care in the ICU, following the interprofessional care plan and organizational policies and procedures.
• Actively collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
• Conduct point-of-care testing and assist in the diagnostic process.
• Uphold ethical and culturally sensitive behavior, making decisions guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.
• Protect patient confidentiality and ensure data security.
• Assess and analyze patient data to identify and diagnose health issues.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, setting measurable goals to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education, utilizing appropriate teaching methods to achieve desired health outcomes.
• Initiate patient discharge planning and facilitate a smooth transition to the next stage of care.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interventions.
• Take on a leadership role, delegating tasks appropriately to unlicensed personnel to maintain safe, high-quality care.
• Continuously improve professional knowledge and engage in self and peer evaluations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care delivery.
