Role Summary

Seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist for Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology.
The role involves operating fluoroscopy and cardiac imaging equipment, assisting physicians in procedures, monitoring patient vitals, prepping rooms/equipment/patients, and ensuring safe radiation practices. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced IR/Cath Lab environment.

Education Requirements

Required: Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences

Experience

Required: Minimum 2 years as an allied health professional
Certifications (Required)
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist
State Radiology License (as applicable)

Key Skills & Abilities
Proficient with computers, software, EMR, PACS
Strong verbal/written communication
Able to perform complex & potentially hazardous imaging tasks
Detect equipment malfunctions and maintain fluoroscopy equipment
Excellent interpersonal skills in a high-stress environment
Knowledge of federal/state radiation safety requirements
Ability to work flexible, on-call schedules

Job Duties

Prep patient, room, and equipment pre-procedure; cleanup post-procedure
Document procedures accurately for billing/charge capture
Operate fluoroscopy to obtain cardiac & peripheral vascular images
Monitor patient vitals & hemodynamics, report to physician
Monitor radiation dose and ensure safe exposure levels
Upload, store & retrieve imaging via PACS
Perform QC checks and routine equipment maintenance
Provide patient-specific communication, privacy, permissions, explanations
Perform other duties as assigned
Physical / Environmental Demands
Medium work: lifting 20–50 lbs occasionally; standing/walking frequently
Exposure to blood/body fluids, hazardous medications, infectious disease risk
Works in direct patient-care areas
