Job Details

We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to support a high‑acuity, high‑volume Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit with day/night rotation and variable start times (0700, 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100, and 1900). This unit manages a wide variety of complex surgical patients in a fast‑paced, controlled‑chaos environment, especially during evening hours.
Patient populations include, but are not limited to: vascular (carotids, AAA repairs), general surgery, thoracic (esophagectomy), gynecology, neuro (craniotomies for tumors, neurostimulators, modified radical neck with trachs), orthopedic surgeries, kidney transplants, and Whipple procedures. The PACU regularly boards overnight patients, including ICU‑level craniotomies, step‑down, and med‑surg patients.
The RN must be comfortable managing arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and vasoactive/sedative drips. Ventricular drains are managed in PACU; patients requiring ICP monitoring are transferred directly to ICU.
