Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN)
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks with Opportunity to extend)
Shift: 12-Hour Days OR Nights Available | 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7 PM - 7:30 AM
Location: Travel Position (Amsterdam, NY)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent ICU experience, strong critical care skills, and the ability to float to Medical-Surgical (MS) as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in an Intensive Care Unit.
Administer medications, treatments, and life-support interventions as necessary.
Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, responding to changes rapidly and effectively.
Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and EPIC charting to document patient care.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Float to Medical-Surgical (MS) units as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN).
Licensure & Certifications:
Active New York State (NYS) RN License (Required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (Required).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (Required).
Contract Details:
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (OT only applies after 48 hours).
Shift Schedule: 3x12 Days or Nights Available
Floating Requirements: Must be willing to float to Medical-Surgical (MS) units as needed.
