Job Details

Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse III
Location: Morris Plains, NJ 07950
Shift: Primary shifts: 3:45 PM – 12:15 AM, 11:45 PM – 8:15 AM, (7:45 AM – 4:15 PM as needed)
Duration: 3 + Month

Job Responsibilities:

Perform professional licensed RN duties on psychiatric units and cottages.
Utilize temporary staffing equipment including ID badge, medication room/cart keys, laptop, and emergency response equipment (BLS, AED)
Use hospital computer systems such as Physician Order Entry System (POES), Microsoft Word, Excel, 24-hour nursing reports, and employee email.
Provide skilled nursing care, medication administration, and follow narcotic drug accountability protocols.
Apply infection prevention practices and therapeutic communication techniques.
May be required to work overtime during staffing emergencies, including inclement weather.
