Certified by the ARDMS or ARRT (S)
Basic Life Support Certification Required.
1+ years’ experience in General, OB, and Vascular.
Certified, RVT, registered vascular technologist & RDMS (AB or OB)
Type of equipment – Philips Epiq5, Parks Vascular, Trophon Transducer cleaning equipment
EMR – Epic
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Abdomen
Soft tissue head/neck (Thyroid, Parathyroid, submandibular)
Thyroidectomy post op scan
Pelvic w/transvaginal and Doppler
Testicular w/Doppler
Renal Doppler
Liver Doppler
Upper and Lower extremity Venous Duplex
Upper and Lower extremity Arterial Doppler
Upper and Lower extremity Arterial Duplex
Pylorus
Appendix
Infant (brain, hips, spine)
Hemodialysis
Carotid Duplex
OB (complete, limited, follow-up, BPP, umbilical Doppler)

The sonographer is accountable for the provision of effective and high-quality imaging with ultrasound and related procedures to demonstrate optimized quality images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. The ultrasound technologist provides appropriate patient care essential for successful completion of the procedure, while adhering to professional practices and assuring a healthy work environment.
