Physical Therapist - Outpatient - (PT)

*Certifications: BLS. MN Licensure. *
- # of patients treated per day: 8-14 patients.
- General Certification Requirements: BLS
- Other Certs Required for all PT: Licensed in the State of MN to practice PT.
- Common Diagnosis: Patient Population: Peds to Geriatrics. Ortho, Neuro, MS, Parkinson's, High School Injuries, Work Related Injuries, Sports Rehabilitation, wound care, and more; see a bit of everything being a small rural hospital.
- Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, Skilled, Outpatient?: Outpatient, Inpatient, swing bed in the hospital, new admission in care center/nursing home resident care.
- Areas required to cover: Outpatient clinic, inpatient, and swing bed admissions. Notes expected to be done following each treatment (no extra time set aside to complete notes)- does not want a traveler who groups all their charting/documentation for EOD. LSVT Big Therapy- performed by perm staff, travelers don't need prior experience with it. Wound care provided by permanent staff.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience after graduation. Must have outpatient experience; prefer someone with manual therapy skills. Must be able to be a complete thorough evaluations and daily documentation. Must be well rounded and have good time management skills. Will accept first time travelers, must be able to jump in.
- PT Manager/Supervisor: Brian McCarthy manager/lead; Small team; work together to distribute assignments and cover patients.
- Rehab Aides: PTA's: 1 assistant, skilled with working with therapists 20+ years of experience.
- Shifts & Scheduling: Shift is 8-430 5 days a week, 1 hour lunch (30 mins paid & 30 mins unpaid). M-F, manager to make schedule. Hours of operation are 7-530. Perm staff typically work 4-9 to 10 hour shifts per week.
- Weekend Requirements: No
- Holiday Requirements: only swing beds, and offer up to who is available permanent staff only.
- Scrub Color: No color requirement for scrubs or casual professional.
