AMN Healthcare is partnering with a well-respected school district in San Antonio, Texas to hire a highly motivated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students’ academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct Full Individual Evaluations (FIE) and re-evaluations in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech impairments using a workload approach to caseload management.
• Provide direct and indirect speech and language therapy services in the least restrictive environment.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to integrate communication goals into classroom instruction.
• Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee meetings.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals regarding students’ communication needs.
• Provide parent training and participate in district-wide in-service and public awareness programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district, state, and federal guidelines.
• Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas Licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, School
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
State License is Required to Start the Assignment
Preferred Qualifications
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members. Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state Regulations.
