In this role, you will assess patients, develop individualized therapy plans, deliver hands-on treatment, guide exercises, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. You will monitor patient outcomes, adapt care plans as needed, and educate patients and their families to support recovery and mobility. Responsibilities may also include reviewing medical histories, diagnosing movement issues, and using exercises and equipment to reduce pain and restore function.
Recommended qualifications include a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, a passing score on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE), and active licensure in Alabama. One year of clinical experience is suggested, along with strong adaptability, communication, and decision-making skills. Experience in long-term acute care is beneficial.
