Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Intensive Care - (RRT - NICU)
StartDate: ASAP
Available Shifts: 12 N
Pay Rate: $1654.95 - $1813.40
Shift: NIGHTS- 7PM-7AM unless floating to St. Patrick. The schedule changes to 6PM-6AM
NICU experience is required
Unit description/expectation: Level three NICU. Needs to be able to work independently in the NICU and needs to have knowledge with ventilators, oscillations, nitric oxide therapy, drawing from arterial lines. Therapists attend all c-sections. Being able to intubate is a plus. St. Patrick Hospital is adult ICU - needs knowledge of ventilators and cardiac surgery patients. Both facilities have full standing ER.
Permanent is an option if there is an opening
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
RT or RCP License in state of employment required-LOUISIANA
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required
Current BLS certification required via AHA
Current ACLS certification required via AHA
Current PALS certification required via AHA
Current NRP certification required
CRT candidates can be considered for this position.
Weekend Requirement:
Potential to be scheduled on a weekend
On Call Requirement:
No call
Floating Requirement / Locations:
Will float between Lake Charles and St Patrick facility. Shift will change to 6PM-6AM
Nurse / Patient Ratio:
5:1 (5 vents to one therapist)
EMR Used:
EPIC
