MRI Technologist - (MRI Tech)

Pay Rate: $2160.00 - $2226.00
Flu Vaccination is required for all travelers from November 1-April 1. Declinations/Exceptions are not accepted.
Position Information:
• Facility Department/Cost Center: 15447144
The bill rate for local candidates will be $10 below the posted travel rate
• Role (RN, Tech, LPN, PT, etc.): MRI Technologist
• Specialty: Interventional Radiology, also serving ER/OP
• Number of Openings: 5
• Shift: Evenings, 5x8
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Rotating call – could be 2 -3 days per week including the weekend
• Assignment Length: 16 weeks
• Call Requirements: As required by facility
• Required Licensure: ARRT
• Required Certifications: BLS
• Preferred Certifications: MRI Registry
• Years of Experience: 2 years plus, Peds Radiology/Imaging required
• Float Requirements: none

• Must Have Skills/Experience: excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: GE 1.5 and 3T experience
• Type of Patients on Unit: all types of patients are done – vented patients, anesthesia cases

Additional Information:
Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety.
Education: Successful completion of an accredited Radiography program.
Certifications: A.R.R.T. registered upon hire. Must obtain advanced A.R.R.T. registry in MRI within 1 year of hire.
Other: The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job. Most physical demands are below, plus:
Minimal: Push/pull up to 46 lbs of force, carrying 25 lbs, gripping up to 50 lbs, pinch grip 6#, climbing 8-10 inch step
Occasional: reaching forward and bending for up to 5 minutes continuous, balance
Frequent: hand coordination
