Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist jobs in Norfolk, VA let you use your VA license and RRT certification to care for adult and geriatric patients in high-acuity settings. You will work 12-hour night shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM, with rotating weekends and on-call every 6 weeks for a 13-week contract and 36 hours weekly. Your responsibilities include managing ventilators, responding to trauma, performing bronchial hygiene, and supporting cardiac and surgical ICU, ED, IMCU/MS floors, and trauma units. You will treat 8 to 15 patients per shift and use advanced equipment such as Hamilton vent fleet, Optiflow, Vapotherm, Resmed AirCurve, Hillrom Metaneb, and Philips Respironics Cough Assist. You must have at least three years of critical care experience.

• 525 academic medical center and Level 1 Trauma
• Variety of high-acuity, highly specialized units including burns, neuro, vascular, cardiac, general medicine, and progressive ventilation ICUs.
• Top 10 Procedures: RT Driven Protocol vent management, veletri/epoprostenol, trauma response, bronchial hygiene protocol driven therapy, non-invasive, high flow oxygen, CABG post-op recovery, Spinal Cord Injury and Chest Trauma
• Most Common Equipment: Hamiton Vent Fleet: G5, T1, C1, C6. High Flow Oxygen: Optiflow, Vapotherm Non-Invasive: Resmed AirCurve, C1/T1 Common Bronchial Hygiene: Hillrom Metaneb & Vest, Philips Respironics Cough Assist T70
