This CT Technologist opportunity is based in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, a welcoming community in Western Pennsylvania set along the scenic Allegheny River. Natrona Heights offers the best of both worlds: a quiet, close-knit town feel with convenient access to the greater Pittsburgh region. Residents enjoy tree-lined neighborhoods, local parks, and a relaxed pace of life, while being just a short drive from the cultural, dining, and sporting attractions of downtown Pittsburgh. The area is known for its outdoor recreation, riverfront activities, and plentiful green spaces, making it an attractive option for those who appreciate both nature and urban amenities.
The facility serves the surrounding community with a strong commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care. The imaging department is equipped with modern CT technology and digital systems designed to support accurate, efficient diagnostics. You will be part of a collaborative radiology team that values professional excellence, open communication, and a supportive work environment. The organization emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and evidence-based practice, providing a solid foundation for CT Technologists to practice at the top of their profession.
In this role, you will perform a full range of CT examinations, including routine body CT, neurological studies, contrast-enhanced imaging, CT angiography, and urgent or emergent exams. A typical day includes reviewing orders and patient histories, preparing and positioning patients, selecting appropriate protocols, performing scans, and ensuring high-quality images for radiologist interpretation. You will be responsible for patient assessment related to CT procedures, including screening for contraindications, monitoring patients before and after contrast administration, and documenting all relevant information in the electronic medical record.
Collaboration is central to this position. You will work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other technologists to coordinate timely imaging services for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients. Patient interaction is a key part of the day, with opportunities to provide reassurance, clear explanations, and compassionate care to individuals who may be anxious about their exam. Maintaining radiation safety practices, adhering to infection prevention standards, and following all departmental protocols are core aspects of the role.
