Physical Therapist (PT) - School - (PT - School)
StartDate: 8/3/2026 Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2383.00 - $2456.00

Situated in the beautiful town of Honokaa, HI, this long-term Physical Therapist position offers the chance to work in a supportive and enriching school environment. Located on the scenic Big Island, Honokaa is renowned for its stunning landscapes, including attractions like the Waipi'o Valley Lookout and Hapuna Beach State Recreation Area. You will join a collaborative and dynamic team focused on enhancing the well-being of PreK-12 students. This full-time position requires working Monday through Friday with a standard 40-hour week. While the role does not include pay for school holidays or closures due to workshops or bad weather, the chance to contribute to the development of young students offers immense professional satisfaction. Your main responsibilities will include assessing and evaluating student's physical conditions, designing tailored therapy programs, and monitoring progress to foster their physical development. Required Qualifications
Physical Therapist, School
PT-HI

Graduate from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program
Pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
Active Physical Therapy (PT) license in HI.


Preferred Qualifications
Clear, articulate communication skills
Ability to explain results to a varied audience
Candidates with previous school experience a plus!
Completion of a criminal record and background check


Facility Location
Honokaa's economy was based primarily on sugar production, but all that has changed, although agriculture is very still very big over there. Crops including pineapples, coffee, papaya, macadamia nuts, and even tea are in abundance in Honokaa. Honokaa provides a beautiful unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean when traveling down slope.
