Job Description & Requirements
MRI Technologist - (MRI Tech)
StartDate: ASAP
Available Shifts: 7 E
Pay Rate: $2852.00 - $2939.00
This MRI Technologist opportunity is based in Easton, Pennsylvania, a historic riverfront community known for its charming downtown, scenic Delaware River views, and a welcoming small-city feel. Easton sits within the Lehigh Valley, offering easy access to outdoor recreation, local festivals, farmers markets, and a diverse restaurant scene, while still being within driving distance of major metropolitan areas.
You will join a reputable hospital environment with a strong focus on patient-centered care, quality imaging, and continuous improvement. The imaging department utilizes GE MRI systems and modern digital workflows, giving you a solid platform to perform accurate, efficient exams. You will work alongside experienced technologists, radiologists, and nursing staff in a supportive team setting.
Primary responsibilities include performing a broad mix of MRI examinations for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients; ensuring strict adherence to MRI safety protocols; screening patients thoroughly; positioning patients and coils accurately; and working with radiologists to optimize image quality. You will also be responsible for patient education, contrast administration per protocol (where permitted), documentation within the EMR, and timely communication of any critical findings or safety concerns.
Schedules are structured around evening and weekend coverage, with an ASAP start once credentialing is complete and a one-week documentation deadline. Core schedule option includes Friday and Monday from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday evening shifts, totaling approximately 28 hours per week. Additional schedule options include 30-, 36-, or 38-hour configurations by adding or extending weekend and Tuesday evening shifts, creating flexibility for candidates seeking either part-time or near full-time hours. Evening-focused shifts support a steady, manageable workflow while avoiding early-morning start times.
On-call may be required, with overtime billed at 1.5 times the bill rate when applicable. Free on-site parking and a defined dress code support a professional and convenient work environment. The facility uses a structured process for interviews and scheduling, with a preference for candidates who can clearly communicate their availability and begin quickly after credentialing.
This role offers a meaningful opportunity to enhance your MRI skills in a busy but organized setting, gain experience with GE platforms and a respected health network, and enjoy the balance of a smaller, vibrant community with easy access to the broader attractions of eastern Pennsylvania.
