Physical Therapist - Outpatient - (PT)

This Physical Therapist Assistant opportunity is based in Germantown, Maryland, a thriving suburban community in Montgomery County. The area offers a comfortable balance of suburban living with convenient access to Washington, DC and the broader metropolitan region. The clinic is a modern outpatient rehabilitation setting focused on delivering evidence-based physical therapy services. Patients typically include individuals with orthopedic injuries, post-operative conditions, sports-related issues, and general musculoskeletal complaints. The environment supports a collaborative, team-based approach where Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants work together closely to optimize outcomes. A typical day in this role includes assisting the supervising Physical Therapist with implementing individualized plans of care, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques within the PTA scope of practice, gait and balance training, and functional retraining. The PTA will also provide patient education on injury prevention, body mechanics, and home exercise programs. Documentation is completed through an electronic medical record system to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant charting. Patient caseloads are structured to support quality care and strong patient engagement. You can expect a steady flow of patients throughout the day, with scheduled visits that allow for meaningful interaction and thorough treatment sessions. The clinic emphasizes a supportive, collegial culture where team members share best practices, participate in ongoing education, and contribute to continuous quality improvement. Shifts generally follow standard outpatient clinic hours with daytime, weekday schedules and potential opportunities for limited evening coverage depending on patient demand.
