Job Description & Requirements
Physical Therapist - Outpatient - (PT)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2240.00 - $2308.00

This Physical Therapist opportunity is located in Olney, Maryland, a vibrant suburban community in Montgomery County known for its welcoming neighborhoods, strong school systems, and abundant green spaces. Olney offers a comfortable small-town feel with easy access to big-city amenities. Within a short drive, you can reach Rockville, Bethesda, and Washington, DC, giving you access to museums, dining, entertainment, cultural events, and professional sports. Locally, Olney features community parks, walking trails, recreational centers, and seasonal events that make it an appealing place to live and work. The position is based in an outpatient setting dedicated to delivering high-quality rehabilitative care. The clinic environment is designed to support modern physical therapy practice, with well-equipped treatment areas, updated modalities, and a strong focus on evidence-based care. You will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team that values communication, clinical excellence, and ongoing professional development. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal, post-surgical, neurologic, and chronic pain diagnoses. A typical day may include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing and progressing individualized treatment plans, providing hands-on interventions and therapeutic exercise programs, and educating patients and families on home exercise and self-management strategies. You will work closely with referring providers and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. Patient caseloads are structured to allow for focused, one-on-one time, supporting both high-quality outcomes and patient satisfaction. Appointment lengths and scheduling practices are designed to provide a manageable pace while maintaining productivity expectations and timely access to care. Depending on the clinic’s specific service lines, you may have the opportunity to develop expertise in areas such as sports rehabilitation, balance and vestibular therapy, post-surgical joint rehabilitation, or chronic condition management. Shifts typically follow daytime hours on weekdays, with some flexibility depending on patient demand and clinic hours. The schedule is designed to support a healthy work-life balance while maintaining consistent access for patients. You will be expected to maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the EMR, participate in team huddles or case conferences, and contribute to quality improvement or performance initiatives as needed. Olney’s location makes it especially attractive for clinicians seeking both career growth and a high quality of life. The area’s strong public and private schools, community-oriented atmosphere, and proximity to major employers and cultural centers make it a desirable long-term home. With its combination of professional support, diverse caseload, and an appealing suburban setting, this position offers an excellent opportunity for a Physical Therapist looking to expand skills, contribute to a supportive team, and make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.
