This outpatient Physical Therapist opportunity is located in the South Plainfield area of Illinois, a welcoming suburban community known for its comfortable neighborhoods, convenient shopping, and easy access to both Joliet and the greater Chicago region. The position is a 13-week temp direct assignment in a well-established outpatient clinic focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will be part of a professional and supportive therapy team that values collaboration, open communication, and consistent clinical standards. This role is primarily general outpatient orthopedics, offering the opportunity to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions across diverse age groups. In addition to orthopedic cases, you will see some gait and balance patients and occasional neurological cases, providing variety in your caseload and opportunities to apply and expand your clinical skills.
A typical day includes 3 patients scheduled each hour, with a minimum expectation of 13 patient visits seen per day. The schedule is designed to be structured yet efficient, allowing you to focus on providing thorough evaluations, individualized treatment plans, and ongoing patient education. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and progressing evidence-based treatment programs, performing manual therapy and therapeutic exercises as appropriate, and documenting care in the clinic’s EMR system according to facility standards and regulatory requirements.
The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a 5-day schedule of 8-hour day shifts. The role includes 3 evenings per week, offering a mix of daytime and later hours to accommodate patient schedules. There is no on-call requirement, allowing you to maintain a predictable weekly routine.
