This Physical Therapist opportunity is based in Lenexa, Kansas, a thriving and highly regarded suburb in the greater Kansas City area. The position is a temp-to-direct role in an outpatient setting, ideal for a clinician seeking both stability and the potential for long-term placement. The schedule consists of 5 eight-hour day shifts for a total of 40 hours per week, providing a predictable routine and consistent patient contact time. The current caseload averages approximately 12.4 visits per day per FTE, giving you the opportunity to maintain a manageable pace while delivering high-quality care.
The primary patient population is general outpatient orthopedics, offering a diverse mix of musculoskeletal and functional conditions. In addition, there are occasional ambulatory neuro patients and vestibular cases, providing a chance to expand and refine skills in these specialized areas. This mix supports professional growth and the development of a strong, well-rounded outpatient clinical skill set.
You will join a supportive and collaborative team environment where multiple resources and mentors are available onsite and within the broader Kansas City market. The organization emphasizes evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary communication, and continuous learning. You will work closely with referring providers and other members of the care team to design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals and lifestyle.
Typical responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, development of individualized treatment plans, implementation of therapeutic exercises and manual techniques, balance and vestibular interventions when needed, patient and family education, and timely, accurate documentation in the EMR. You will play a key role in helping patients restore function, reduce pain, and return to their desired activities.
