Computed Tomography Technologist - (CT Tech)

This CT Technologist position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, a dynamic riverfront city known for its welcoming neighborhoods, revitalized downtown, and easy access to entertainment and outdoor activities. The role is weekend-only, providing a consistent and predictable schedule: Friday 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. This structure is ideal for technologists who prefer compressed workweeks, off-peak commuting, and the opportunity to balance work and personal commitments during weekdays.
You will work in a hospital-based imaging environment equipped with GE CT technology, alongside one other technologist on shift. The unit emphasizes efficient, safe, and patient-centered imaging, with clear protocols and supportive leadership. While the primary responsibility is CT, travelers may assist periodically with general X-ray, offering additional variety and skills maintenance.
Typical responsibilities include performing CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring proper patient identification, screening, and education, positioning patients accurately for diagnostic-quality imaging, adjusting technical parameters to achieve optimal image quality while adhering to ALARA principles, coordinating with nurses, providers, and other technologists to prioritize and sequence exams, and documenting work accurately in the imaging systems and EMR used by the facility.
The patient mix is likely to include emergency, inpatient, and occasional outpatient studies, with a focus on timely, high-quality imaging for a wide range of clinical indications. Overnight and weekend volumes emphasize autonomy, adaptability, and strong technical judgment.
