Job Description & Requirements
Physical Therapist - Outpatient - (PT)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2302.00 - $2372.00

This 13-week Physical Therapist opportunity is based in the Belvidere/Bowie, Maryland area, a highly desirable suburban community known for its welcoming neighborhoods, convenient amenities, and easy access to some of the Mid-Atlantic’s most vibrant cities. Bowie offers a balance of relaxed, family-friendly living and modern conveniences, with retail, dining, parks, and community events close by. Its location places you within a reasonable drive of Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Annapolis, making it easy to explore museums, historic sites, professional sports, waterfront restaurants, and the scenic Chesapeake Bay on your days off. The outpatient setting in this role focuses primarily on general orthopedic cases, with an additional mix of neuro and balance patients. This offers a strong opportunity to refine and expand your skills in both traditional outpatient ortho and higher complexity balance or neurologic presentations. The clinic environment supports an active, engaged patient base, where evidence-based interventions and functional outcomes are emphasized. As a Physical Therapist in this position, you will work a consistent 5x8s day shift schedule for a total of 40 hours per week, allowing for routine and predictable workdays. The caseload is designed for experienced outpatient therapists who are comfortable with a higher-volume environment. You can expect to see greater than 14–16 visits per day, with clinic scheduling targeting more than 80 visits per week and a minimum expectation of 80 visits seen weekly. This structure provides a steady, reliable workflow and the opportunity to deepen your clinical efficiency and productivity skills. Your typical day will include evaluating new patients, developing and updating individualized plans of care, providing hands-on treatment and therapeutic exercise programs, and closely monitoring progress toward functional goals. You will treat a range of musculoskeletal conditions such as post-surgical cases, sports injuries, chronic joint pain, and spine issues, along with patients who have balance challenges or neurologic diagnoses appropriate for the outpatient setting. Clear communication with patients, families, and collaborating providers will be an important part of your role, ensuring that care plans are well understood and followed. The clinic’s fast-paced environment is well suited to therapists who enjoy staying busy, working with a variety of diagnoses, and seeing tangible progress in their patients. You will have the opportunity to hone your skills in managing a full schedule while maintaining high standards of clinical documentation, patient education, and evidence-based care. The team culture is collaborative and supportive, with a shared focus on patient outcomes, professional growth, and a smooth clinic flow. This Temp-to-Direct opportunity is ideal for Physical Therapists looking to build their outpatient orthopedic and neuro/balance experience in a strong suburban Maryland market, while keeping open the possibility of transitioning into a longer-term role. Working in this community offers not only clinical growth but also an enjoyable lifestyle, with access to parks, trails, shopping centers, and nearby cultural and recreational attractions that make the Belvidere/Bowie area an appealing place to live and work.
