Physical Therapist - Pediatric - (PT - Peds - Pedi)
StartDate: ASAP
Available Shifts: 8 D
Pay Rate: $2069.00 - $2133.00
This pediatric outpatient Physical Therapist opportunity is located in Dunn, North Carolina, a welcoming small city with genuine Southern charm and a close-knit community feel. Dunn offers the best of both worlds: a relaxed pace of life with easy access to larger urban centers. It is positioned right off I-95, making travel simple and providing quick connections to Raleigh, Fayetteville, and other regional hubs. The area is known for its friendly residents, affordable cost of living, and a family-oriented environment that is ideal for clinicians who value work-life balance.
In Dunn and the surrounding region, you will find a variety of local attractions and activities that make time off enjoyable. There are nearby parks, nature areas, and golf courses for outdoor enthusiasts, along with local shops and restaurants that highlight regional flavors and hospitality. Community events, seasonal festivals, and historical sites offer ways to connect with the town’s heritage and culture. The manageable size of the city means short commutes and an easy drive to grocery stores, schools, and recreational amenities, while larger-city amenities remain within reach.
The outpatient pediatric setting provides a professional and supportive environment where your skills can truly make a difference. As the Physical Therapist, you will focus on evaluating and treating children with a wide variety of conditions, including developmental delays, neuromuscular disorders, orthopedic issues, and other functional mobility concerns. You will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, implement therapeutic interventions, and document progress in an EMR system. A typical day includes scheduled one-on-one patient visits, coordination with caregivers, and collaboration with referring providers to optimize outcomes.
You can expect a structured 40-hour workweek, with a 5-day schedule of 8-hour day shifts that supports stability and routine. Patient volumes are consistent and designed to allow meaningful, focused care for each child while maintaining safe, manageable productivity expectations. The environment emphasizes family-centered care, clear communication, and collaboration, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships with patients and families across the course of care.
This assignment is a temp-direct 13-week engagement, ideal for Physical Therapists interested in enhancing their pediatric outpatient experience, exploring a new community, or gaining valuable resume-building exposure in a well-organized clinical setting. The role offers the opportunity to refine your skills in pediatric assessment, therapeutic exercise, play-based treatment, caregiver education, and long-term functional planning. It is well-suited for therapists who want to contribute to a community-focused practice, see tangible improvements in children’s mobility and participation, and enjoy the rewards of helping families reach meaningful milestones.
