Job Summary
· Operates sophisticated equipment and provides patient care during
catheterization procedures. Assists physician in performing diagnostic and
interventional cardiac catheterizations. Performs and interprets hemodynamic
waveforms and electrocardiographic tracings. Operates and assures appropriate
maintenance of fluorographic, digital image recording, laser and
electrophysiology equipment. Develops quality control policies and procedures.
Monitors quality control program. Trains staff cardiac technologists, fellows and
nursing staff in various aspects of equipment function and safety procedures.
Maintains inventory control systems and maintains computer reports.
Education
· Associates Degree : in Radiologic Studies (Required)
· Non Degree Program : Approved Cardiovascular Technology Program
(Required)
· Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of
degree.
Licenses and Certifications
· ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
· ARRT - Amer Reg Radiologic Technlgst (Required) or RCIS - Reg Cardio
Invasive Specialist (Required)
· BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
Experience
· 3 Years experience as a cardiac cath or interventional radiology technologist
(Required)
