Specialized Skills:
Neuro/trauma surgical care
Chest tube management
Cardiac drip titration
Telemetry monitoring
BiPAP and high-flow oxygen therapy (HFNC)
Strong familiarity with complex neuro patients
Common Diagnoses:
Post-op day 1 craniotomies and neurosurgical procedures
Abdominal surgeries, including Whipple procedures
Continuous BiPAP and HFNC support
Chronic mechanical ventilation
Insulin gtt management
Cardiac arrhythmias
Trauma cases and sepsis
Stroke patients transferred via rapid response
Complex medical patients requiring intermediate-level critical care
Key Requirements:
Must have strong neuro experience, especially with:
Trauma
Craniotomies
Pre- and post-operative neurosurgical patients
Certifications Required:
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
NIHSS (Blue Cloud)
EPIC - experience required
At least 1 year of SDU or relevant acute care experience
