Job Description (Summary)
This position functions autonomously to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients requiring speech therapy services. The therapist develops and implements treatment plans, monitors progress, ensures quality of care, and supports program development to meet clinical and community needs.
Responsibilities
Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide direct therapy and reassess patient progress.
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation.
Meet productivity and quality targets (access to care, patient experience, etc.).
Assist with program development and enhancement initiatives.
Communicate professionally with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical team members.
Adapt care based on patient needs and population-specific requirements.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
Experience
Minimum 2+ years experience
Licenses / Certifications
Active Speech Pathologist License (state of practice)
ASHA CCC – Certificate of Clinical Competence
BLS (AHA)

Strong clinical judgment and decision-making
Excellent verbal & written communication
Ability to adapt to fluctuating patient demands
Proficient in computer and web-based applications
Strong interpersonal skills
Comfortable working across diverse patient populations
Working Conditions
Hospital environment; walking to multiple floors
Standing at bedside; assisting with patient positioning/transfers
May encounter bodily fluids and clinic hazards
Must adapt to changing clinical conditions
