Role Summary
Seeking an experienced CT Technologist to support the Radiology/CT team at Ochsner Lafayette General. This role functions as part of a multidisciplinary team operating fluoroscopy and cardiac imaging equipment, assisting physicians, monitoring patient vitals, and ensuring safe radiation practices. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment.
Education
Required: Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences
Experience
Required: Minimum 2 years as an allied health professional
Certifications
Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA
Registered Radiologic Technologist (state license)
ARRT certification

Strong computer and EMR skills
Effective verbal and written communication
Ability to perform complex and potentially hazardous imaging tasks
Proficiency with Windows applications and imaging systems
Interpersonal skills to work in a high-stress environment
Knowledge of radiation safety and compliance with federal/state regulations
Ability to work flexible schedules (24/7, weekends, holidays, on-call)
Job Duties
Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment pre-procedure; clean and reset post-procedure
Document procedures accurately for billing and charge capture
Operate radiographic fluoroscopy to obtain diagnostic images
Perform hemodynamic monitoring and report values to physicians
Monitor radiation dose to ensure safe delivery
Upload, archive, and retrieve imaging via PACS
Perform required quality control and basic equipment maintenance
Follow privacy, safety, and communication standards based on patient population
Comply with all federal, state, regulatory, and hospital policies
Perform additional duties as assigned
