Position Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports the Physical Therapist in providing high‑quality, evidence‑based therapy services. This role focuses on patient mobility, functional improvement, and restoring independence in inpatient and rehabilitation settings.
Key Responsibilities
Implement PT‑designed treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
Assist with gait training, mobility, transfers, and strengthening activities.
Monitor and document patient progress in the EMR.
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety.
Collaborate with PTs and multidisciplinary care teams.
Provide coverage across inpatient acute, inpatient rehab, and outpatient areas as needed.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday–Friday, approx. 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Weekend: Saturday rotation required
Work Areas: Inpatient Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation, and occasional Outpatient Clinic coverage
Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
Active state PTA license (or eligibility).
BLS certification.
Experience in acute care or rehab preferred.
