Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN)
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: 12-Hour Nights | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Location: Austin, TX
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have ICU experience, strong critical care skills, and ACLS certification. This position involves working in a high-acuity ICU environment with a 1:2 or 1:3 patient ratio.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in a 24-bed ICU.
Manage and monitor ventilators, IV pumps, and specialty devices.
Administer medications, titrate drips, and perform line placements.
Provide pre- and post-operative care.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR.
Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN).
Licensure & Certifications:
Active RN License (Required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification (Required).
Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) (Preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (Required).
Experience with ventilator management, line placements, and drip titration (Preferred).
Contract Details:
Guaranteed Hours: Full-time, 36-40 hours per week.
Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required.
On-Call Requirements: None.
Scrub Colors: Navy blue.
Unit Size: 24 beds, staffed with 12 RNs plus charge nurse.
