Full-Time Surgical Tech - CVOR

• Pay: $36,171 - $59,072, Depending on experience

Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of an accredited CVOR Technician program or equivalent.
• Certification: Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) through the NBSTSA or equivalent.
• Licensure: State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice.
• Experience: Previous experience as a CVOR Technician is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CVOR procedures, including familiarity with CVOR equipment and instrumentation.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication Skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain strict adherence to CVOR procedural protocols and ensure the safety and comfort of patients.
• Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards.
• Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and positioning patients as necessary, and assisting with physically demanding tasks during CVOR procedures. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in CVOR Procedures: Provide essential support to cardiovascular surgical teams during surgical procedures, including open-heart surgeries, vascular surgeries, and other cardiac interventions.
• Equipment Preparation: Set up and ensure the proper functioning of CVOR equipment, instruments, and devices. Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks.
• Patient Care: Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Instrument Sterilization: Properly clean, sterilize, and maintain CVOR instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
• Infection Control: Adhere to strict sterilization and infection control procedures to maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients and healthcare providers.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient information, surgical procedures, and any relevant clinical observations.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, providing immediate assistance and necessary equipment to the healthcare team.
• Communication: Collaborate effectively with cardiovascular surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Safety: Follow safety guidelines and protocols to create a safe environment for both patients and healthcare providers.
