Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - School - (SLP - School)

Pay Rate: $1675.35 - $1835.76
The role is based on the idyllic Nantucket Island, a destination known for its historic charm and stunning beaches, perfect for those who enjoy a peaceful and picturesque work environment. Nantucket offers a variety of activities including biking, visiting iconic lighthouses, exploring museums like the renowned Whaling Museum, and enjoying local breweries such as Cisco Brewers.
The position operates at a single school building housing both the high school and middle school, focusing on serving students from 6th to 12th grade. The workload involves servicing a caseload of 35-45 students who primarily have high needs including nonverbal and autistic conditions. The working hours are from 7:45 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with breaks in accordance with the school’s holiday calendar.
The facility is a member of Mass General Brigham and provides a supportive environment with access to essential medical care nearby. Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, School
SLP-MA
Certifications: ASHA-American Speech Language Hearing Association
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
State SLP License in State of Residence
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
