Join the team as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Jacksonville, NC, working with Onslow County Schools. This school-based position starts ASAP and runs through June 5, 2026, offering a competitive bill rate of $82 per hour. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing essential leave coverage or long-term support for K-5th grade students at an elementary school. Jacksonville is known for its welcoming community, outdoor recreation, and easy access to coastal attractions, making it a great place to live and work.
In this role, you’ll assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions to help students achieve their communication goals. You’ll collaborate with district staff to develop and maintain student records, conduct evaluations, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs. Your day will involve working directly with students, utilizing your knowledge of childhood speech and hearing development, and ensuring compliance with IEP systems. You’ll be responsible for IEP documentation and must supply your own laptop for this purpose. The position is not teletherapy and includes specific non-paid days as outlined by the school calendar.

Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellowship School
Experience: New Grad Accepted,CF SLP - Clinical Fellowship Accepted
SLP-NC
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
State SLP License in State of Residence
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
Preferred Qualifications
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
