This contract CF-SLP opportunity is based in a friendly, close-knit community in southeastern New Mexico. The area offers a relaxed small-town lifestyle with the benefit of regional amenities nearby. You will serve students within a public school district known for its strong sense of community and commitment to educating the whole child. The district offers a range of programs from early childhood through high school, with dedicated special education and related services teams. As a CF-SLP, you will be supported in transitioning from graduate training to independent practice through direct mentorship and collaboration with experienced clinicians and educators.
In this school-based CF role, you can expect a caseload that may include preschool, elementary, middle, and/or high school students depending on district needs. Typical responsibilities include conducting speech and language screenings and evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, participating in eligibility and IEP meetings, and providing both individual and small-group therapy. You will work closely with teachers, special education staff, school psychologists, and families to support students’ communication skills in the classroom and across school environments.
Your typical day may include a combination of: Student therapy sessions scheduled around the school day Assessment and report writing IEP documentation and progress monitoring Consultation with teachers on classroom strategies and accommodations Collaboration with related service providers on shared cases Family communication and education as appropriate
The district utilizes standard school-based documentation systems; training and support will be provided for any local EMR or IEP platforms used. Expect a school calendar-based schedule aligned with the academic year, with hours generally following a traditional Monday through Friday daytime schedule. Specific start and end times may vary slightly by school site but are designed to match school hours and allow for planning and collaboration time.
Classroom and therapy spaces are designed to support student learning, with access to instructional materials, basic therapy resources, and technology. As a CF, you will have a designated supervisor who provides guidance, feedback, and formal supervision that meets ASHA Clinical Fellowship requirements. This structured support helps you develop confidence in clinical decision-making, school-based compliance, and effective communication with educational teams and families.

Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellowship School
Experience: New Grad Accepted,CF SLP - Clinical Fellowship Accepted
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
State SLP License in State of Residence
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
