This school-based Speech-Language Pathologist position is located in Poulsbo, Washington, a charming waterfront community on Liberty Bay known as “Little Norway.” The town offers a walkable historic downtown, local bakeries and shops, and easy access to outdoor recreation on the Kitsap Peninsula, with Seattle reachable by nearby ferry.
In this Poulsbo WA school SLP job, you will serve preschool, elementary, and/or secondary students, providing evaluations, developing IEPs, and delivering individual and small-group therapy. Caseloads include a mix of articulation, language, fluency, social communication, autism spectrum disorder, and AAC needs. You will collaborate closely with teachers, psychologists, occupational therapists, and families, and participate in IEP meetings and problem-solving teams.
The schedule follows the school day, Monday through Friday, with time built in for documentation, planning, and consultation. This role offers a balanced workload, strong team support, and an excellent quality of life in a friendly, coastal Pacific Northwest community.
Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, School
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
State License is Required to Start the Assignment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
