This Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is based in Nags Head, North Carolina, a vibrant coastal town in the heart of the Outer Banks. Nags Head offers miles of wide, sandy beaches, stunning sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean, and a relaxed, family-friendly lifestyle. Residents enjoy easy access to iconic Outer Banks landmarks, including nearby lighthouses, the natural dunes of Jockey’s Ridge State Park, and the historic aviation heritage of the Wright Brothers area in adjacent communities. The region is known for surfing, kiteboarding, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, boating, and kayaking, along with local shops, fresh seafood restaurants, and seasonal festivals that create a welcoming small-town atmosphere year-round.
The facility is part of a respected regional health system with a strong commitment to serving coastal and rural communities in eastern North Carolina. The culture emphasizes evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and high-quality, patient-centered care. Providers benefit from access to system-wide resources, clinical support, and opportunities to grow within a broad network of hospitals and clinics.
Depending on final placement within the facility, the SLP will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for adults and/or pediatric patients presenting with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. Typical responsibilities include conducting standardized assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering one-on-one or group therapy, educating patients and families, and collaborating closely with the care team on discharge planning and follow-up needs.
