This Cath Lab Technologist role is based in Birmingham, Alabama, a dynamic city known as a major healthcare and biomedical hub in the Southeast. You will work in a modern cardiac catheterization laboratory that supports a broad range of interventional cardiology services. The cath lab is equipped with advanced imaging systems, digital hemodynamic monitoring, and up-to-date interventional tools, providing an excellent environment for a technologist who wants to expand skills and gain exposure to complex cases. In this role, you will assist cardiologists and the care team with diagnostic and interventional procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations, coronary angiography, and percutaneous coronary interventions. Depending on the facility’s service lines, you may also support additional procedures such as peripheral vascular interventions, device implantations, structural heart interventions, and assist with emergent cases. Daily responsibilities include preparing procedure rooms, ensuring appropriate supplies and equipment are available and functioning, maintaining a sterile field, operating imaging and monitoring equipment, and documenting case details in the EMR and specialized cath lab systems. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists in a collaborative and supportive environment that values teamwork and communication. Typical caseload may include both scheduled elective procedures and urgent or emergent cases, giving you the opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact on patient outcomes. Patient ratios and daily volume can vary, but the team is structured to maintain safe workloads and efficient patient flow. The environment is fast-paced yet organized, with clear protocols for emergencies such as acute coronary syndromes. Shifts generally follow day-time hours aligned with procedure schedules, with participation in an on-call rotation to cover after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergencies. During on-call, you must be able to respond within established time frames. This allows for a mix of predictable scheduling and the opportunity to be part of critical, time-sensitive cardiac care. Cath Lab Technologist, Cath Lab
Experience: 2 years
Certifications(At least one of the following): CERT-ARRT- R, ACLS-AHA, BLS-AHA, CERT-CCI- RCIS
Weekends: on call rotation

All require Cerner experience, travel experience, and minimum 2 years’ recent experience in the specialty they are applying to. (EPIC after July )
