To qualify, you must complete an accredited surgical technologist program and hold a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential. At least two years of surgical tech experience, including one year of cardiovascular operating room scrubbing, is recommended. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, attention to detail, and adaptability are important.
