To qualify, you must graduate from an accredited surgical technology program and hold a current surgical technologist certification. Experience in the operating room, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems are important. Recommended skills include anatomy knowledge, effective communication, teamwork, and infection control.
