Nurse Practitioner - Traveler

Lic/Certs: BLS, State License if applicable, Other Certifications or Licenses may be required for this position 


26-week Nurse Practitioner travel assignment


Client in [San Francisco & California] is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to help them out for 26 weeks. This is a [TIME] shift position.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Two years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge in the relevant specialty.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
  • Physical Abilities: Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), Pushing, Pulling, Bending.
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our travel healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various specialties, demonstrating expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing patient health issues. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Essential Work Functions
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
  Required Essential Skills:
  • Interpersonal Skills - to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and a professional appearance.
  • Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
  • Mental Requirements – Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.  Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail.
  • Sensory – Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.
